Packaging FAQs
-
To get things rolling, we need your product specifications (a physical sample if possible), branding guidelines, target audience, budget, and any specific design preferences or ideas you have in mind.
-
The timeline can vary depending on the complexity of the project, but typically it takes around 2 weeks from the initial consultation to the final design approval.
-
We don’t have an MOQ. We can produce one box or a million, but we will advise you on the ideal price breaks similar to your budget.
-
All of our packaging is produced in the UK, and we are Made In Britain accredited, membership no. 3933

The more you order, the more diluted the set-up costs are, which decreases the cost per unit.
-
Costs can vary based on design complexity, print finishes, materials, and order quantity. We will advise you on all costs associated with your project before we go ahead with anything so there are no hidden surprises down the road.

-
Without a budget, we may end up designing a solution that is either simply unaffordable or not premium enough to meet the level of your target market. It's much easier to let us know what you are happy to spend, and we will find affordable solutions.
-
If you haven’t already had a chat with us, now is the time to book in for your initial design consultation. We take the time to get to know you, your brand, and your target market position before discussing what solutions we feel would work best. After a route has been agreed, we can pro-forma the initial structural design fee and get started.
-
We design the packaging and sample test until our team is 100% happy with the construction. We will then create a plain 3D visual for you and your team to view on screen. If you’re happy with the design, we will produce a plain sample for you and your team to review, get a feel for the materials we have used, and test with your product. Once the sample is signed off, we can then move on to the next stage.
-
Because we can produce any type of packaging that fits your brand and market, a lot of time and effort goes into all of our structural designs. This time needs paying for via the fee. However, we are happy to refund this when you go ahead with production.
-
We get a lot of profiles sent to us that are not designed for the material required. We would advise that you send the profile you have together with the board spec it was designed for. Our designers will know immediately if the design is suitable, needs further testing, or is completely unusable. The design fee will reflect the level of work required, if any.
-
Of course! Just be aware that designers are not necessarily good at artwork. Print-ready artwork is a technical skill that requires industry knowledge. Designers can make things look good, but it might not meet regulations or meet print requirements. If this is the case, you may want to explore our print-ready artwork services.
-
This is a great way to work as we are experts in producing print ready-artwork. If you could put us in direct contact with your designer, we can advise the best method of supplying artwork to streamline the process, prevent delays, and ensure print accuracy

Once the initial structural sample has been signed off, we will provide you with the cutter guide for your designers.

We prefer to provide a plain sample and do a 3D visual, as we do this for free. Printed wet samples are extremely costly and is a separate process that we advise you to consider prior to production.
-
The cost for a printed sample can vary considerably and will depend on size, complexity, materials, and print finishes. We will provide a quote if this is something you wished to explore.
-
Prior to any production that we produce, we provide a free 3D visual with your print-ready artwork in place as standard.
-
We are proficient in working with various print finishes including CMYK, Pantone, foils, whites, emboss, deboss, glue areas, and varnishes.
